Educational Futures Charity/MESHGuides – COVID-19 pandemic – emergency response work from March-Nov 2020 International Partnerships:

1) EFC/MESHGUIDES Steering Committee has been leading a new international MESHGuide on Covid19 and managing education in a pandemic, for teachers globally (inc. info to combat fake news on coronavirus).

2) EFC/MESHGUIDES CEO and co-chairs ran regular weekly meetings with the MESHGUIDES International Council, across the UN regions, focusing on how different countries are managing their education sectors during COVID-19 pandemic (April-June).

Education: Gary Brace Obituary Educator, internationalist, recently retired Vice-Chair of the UK National Commission for UNESCO and advocate for the right of every child to have the best education possible. Gary Brace who has died suddenly aged 65 was a passionate and widely respected educator with national and international influence. At the same time that the Coronavirus outbreak had just begun in China, the Society for Applied Microbiology was publishing an article called ‘A Germ’s Journey’ documenting how scientists , teachers and teacher educators worked together, sharing their knowledge freely world wide, to create a MESHguide knowledge map/research summary (www.meshguide.org) for teachers – to promote personal hygiene and cleanliness and stressing the importance of careful handwashing.
