Sponsorship or donation

Thank you for considering sponsorship or donation.

Private donations are essential to support the charity’s work. Volunteers who have a passion for education are welcome to contribute their time.

The World Bank has reported <<link>> that where governments alone sponsor online resources for education, the next government is likely to remove their sponsorship leading to a loss of resources that teachers and teacher educators rely on. Our experience is that it is essential for educators to protect their professional knowledge base through independent international organisations like MESH which are focused on benefiting teachers, teacher educators and learners everywhere.

As a charity we are dependent on those who support our aims to help teachers to teach effectively by providing the most up to date research-based information relevant to learners. Our long term vision is for MESHGuides research summaries to cover a wide range of topics to support teachers as well as local communities in accessing the latest evidence and research.

There are many different ways you can support this vision: sponsorship, donation, fund raising, legacies, volunteering time.

You are invited to sponsor Guides in areas where you have expertise or where there are specific needs or to donate to support the operation of the charity. Sponsors include individuals, charities, businesses, universities, professional associations and other organisations.

Imagine this future

Imagine if teachers everywhere had access to up-to-date research knowledge on how to help all learners to learn effectively. See the current MESHGuides on SEND.

Imagine if teachers and communities everywhere had access to up-to-date research knowledge about energy efficiency, sustainable forms of production and storage of electricity, the latest knowledge on batteries, purification of water, sustainable food production, how to adapt to climate change, a whole range of health matters and so on.

Imagine if young people could start their adult lives with a firm foundation of the most recent knowledge on the topics that interest them or that will help their communities prosper.

Reaching virtually every country around the world: with a translation at the touch of a button

We have users in almost every country and passed the million user mark some years ago.

The translate button on the top right of the pages makes the Guides available in many languages. Educational colleagues from countries such as Afghanistan, Catalonia, China, Croatia, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Malaysia  and Portugal confirm the translate tool means they can access the Guides in their home language.

What are funds used for?

The Charity uses funds to expand the number of Guides, for web hosting, software licences and for technical upgrades to keep the Guides freely available across the world. Volunteer educators run the Charity via an Executive Board which meets weekly.

Annual accounts are published on the UK Charities Commission website.

Who is benefitting from your sponsorship?

Teachers, learners of all ages and their communities will benefit from your sponsorship.

University staff who have to demonstrate the reach of their research may access the data analytics for the Guides that their university sponsors, via a link to independent analytics data. Annual reports can be provided for a fee which is negotiable.

Want to discuss your sponsorship? Thinking of donating?

If you wish to discuss sponsorship or donation or running a fundraising event please email Marilyn Leask on enquiries@meshguides.org.

We are grateful to our founder sponsors – professional associations and universities – who funded the setting up of the Education Futures Collaboration charity which oversees MESH operations. They are acknowledged here. Sponsors for individual research summaries are acknowledged in their MESHGuide.
